how does one get into KiECO in the first place

Back to basics. I didn't see KiECO in the WISKI perspectives, tools or views. So how does one get into it? Is it standalone or needs to be installed in WISKI?

Hi Pat,

Please see the images below for a quick point of reference for getting in KiECO. Your current version of WISKI does not have a KiECO perspective, but I believe new versions do.

The first image shows how to use the drop down to access the biological study areas (where bio data is stored). The second image shows the Bio filter, which can be used to query biological data specifically.

Thanks, Steve. I had hit on the Biological filter by checking every icon on the toolbar. Now to figure out the next step.

Hi Pat.

The next step is to set the search option (top right in the filter) to Biological study area, and then to hit on the Explorer button. That will filter and show you all the biological study areas in your system, and you can scroll through their data just like you would on the regular WISKI side.

If you'd like we can set up a quick refresher to go through accessing the KiECO system.

How about a Skype or Teamviewer and telephone session with the biologists who will be using KiECO? Or if you happened to be in the neighbourhood sometime and could stop by perhaps.

Hi Pat,

I think ideally we coordinate with Chris and a few of the others to see if we can get the first WISKI workshop lined up so we can include real users and experts of the KiECO system at Quinte. In the meantime let's plan for an online overview of the biology side sometime next week.
