Morning everyone,

The folks at Lakehead Region Conservation Authority have recently joined the WISKI community and have updated their modem in order to get more reliable service. They've noticed that the new modem is extremely loud when dialing and are looking to mute or muffle it in some way. Has anyone run into this before, or know where to begin looking for controlling this?

Not sure if this will work for them but I've used AT commands in the past for this.

For speaker loudness:
AT+L<value>       : <value> = 0 Low speaker volume
                                             1 Low speaker volume
                                             2 Medium speaker volume
                                             3 High speaker volume
           or

To set speaker mode to mute:
AT+M<value>      : <value> = 0 Speaker is off
                                             1 Speaker is on

Thanks Jen! This is 100% the correct answer.

I tried lowering the volume and the group could still hear it, so I used the mute option and it worked perfectly. Now we just have to remember that its on when we try to troubleshoot the modem in the future....;)
