DPC Use outside Work

Hi All,

I am trying to get the DPC to work outside of our office, mostly to check the flows, etc. over the weekend. The DPC seems to be unstable on any other computer I run it on, has anyone run into this issue?

Side note, I know some people were mentioning before that they have the DPC set up to email the results every morning. Could anyone maybe assist with this as well? It could be the remedy to this issue. @cmcguire

Hey Gage,

I've only seen the DPC a few times but there are a few reasons that a local connection could be needed to get the data.

Are the macros referring to any local files/locations accessible at your office / directly through that computer? If the DPC is pulling some locally generated outputs it will fail outside of that environment. As far as I know, the system uses KiWIS for the WISKI data, so you should be able to get access to that from anywhere - that said if you see any "localhost" values in your DPC macro, I'd look into those.

I have tried changing the local connections, but i am still running into the same issues.

I might need to make my way out there to really troubleshoot it - there's got to something going on for on-site versus off-site.

Unless Chris has run into this problem before and has an idea of where to start.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I had to take some time off in December.  When does it bug out?  Did the date picker install successfully?
