WISKI / perl convertor
Last post by All4terenity - September 01, 2022, 02:44:26 AM
Dear WISKI users, administrators.

I had one issue with import of zrxp file. It was from another institute and could not change anything in it. The issue was parameter name. It had space between words ( Air temperature) and wiski generated import number with space. But space can not be in it. Couldn't change the path cause it is not from my system. So there were no way to import it.
I solved it by putting it through Kirolling Optimizer. Kiro has one option "replace header" so I used it. Files came up with the header I wanted with parameter name I wanted ( AirTemperature instead of Air temperature) and import was piece of cake.
I dont like using Optimizer cause it takes double time to process the files and use much memory and space. So I thought of making converter, integrated it system and use it to manipulate file.

It should be some simple code, just to change one thing in second row in file. But I am not good in Perl. Is there anyone who has done it before or know how to write it? I would be so grateful. Also I am in disposal if I can help in anything ( some settings, TS, converters...)

KiDAT / Re: CoCoRaHS KiDAT Task
Last post by Mark.Helsten - June 08, 2022, 10:05:03 AM
UPDATED.  CoCoRaHS_to_ZRXP.tsk now inserts a small value for Trace data entry, 0.005 inches for all data types.  Data is downloaded in inches and converted in the import agent to mm.  There may be a way to specify in the DL URL that you want mm, but I didn't bother looking into this.
==================

To get all data for all Ontario stations for the past 30 days run task CoCoRHaS_DL.tsk on a daily schedule.

To convert/import to WISKI, run task CoCoRaHS_to_ZRXP.tsk.

You can go in and edit the VBA code to change the start and end dates to get historic data, but I have already done this, going back to 2013.  I don't believe there is any older data out there, but I may be wrong.  In any case, the file is too big to post here, so go get it here:  https://ftp.thamesriver.on.ca/WISKI/CoCoRHaS_2022_6_2_hist.csv

Requires login:
Username: publicfiles
pw: WeeneWed4!

File will disappear on July 02, so if interested, get it before then!  Any questions, or if you are having issues getting it to work etc, let me know. PM likely best, helstenm@thamesriver.on.ca

Good luck!

I see nobody has downloaded this, which is good.  I noticed yesterday that the datafiles have T's in them for trace, and I am trying to adapt the CoCoRaHS to ZRXP script to convert these to small values.  Will repost once that is done.

WISKI / Shift down a TS by one cell
Last post by Sahar Safaei - May 24, 2022, 02:15:27 PM
Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can shift down a time series by one cell? The Time interval of data is not uniform so I cannot use Toffset.

Thanks,
Sahar

KiDAT / KiDAT installer error: Service...
Last post by D Post - September 17, 2021, 11:25:20 AM
Hey all, I'd like to install KiDAT locally on my laptop to use as a test environment. I've got an installer from 2014 and I'm running into an error (image attached).

I have Admin privileges on my machine and I have done a fair amount of Googling and troubleshooting (namely, gpedit.msc > Navigate to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies >User Rights Assignment and adding my account to the list) but I keep hitting the same issue.

Is there an updated version of the software I can install on my Windows 10 machine? I didn't find anything online. Has anyone else seen this; any suggestions? I've also contacted KISTERS, so that iron is in the fire.

Cheers,

Daniel

KiDAT / KiDAT for water quality?

I am wondering if anyone has experience using KiDAT for streamlining their import for water quality data into KiWQM?

Water Quality / Fractions and Laboratories
Last post by mkline - September 16, 2021, 03:46:39 PM
I am just wondering what other people's experiences have been using 'fractions' for distinguishing between data for different laboratories, and/or lab vs field measurements, or do you store some of this metadata in a different way? Have you found it useful for comparing/ excluding data from different sources?

I am also wondering if anyone else has been getting the same error when trying to set up the column configuration for importing a sampling from csv in a way that includes columns that reference a given fraction such as 'fraction laboratory', I keep receiving an error that reads "Fraction info set in columns but never applied to a result value", and I cannot figure out how to resolve this without removing these columns altogether. I tried adding the other columns that consist the required fields under the fraction tab such as date of entry and fraction number, however this did not seem to help.
